DNI: Interrogation worked after 9-11, But we won't do it now?
What? In documents release yesterday, Dennis Blair the Director of National Security stated in a memo that
"It is important to remember the context of these past events. All of us remember the horror of 9/11. For months afterwards we did not have a clear understanding of the enemy we were dealing with, and our every effort was focused on preventing further attacks that would kill more Americans. It was during these months that the CIA was struggling to obtain critical information from captured al Qa’ida leaders, and requested permission to use harsher interrogation methods. The OLC memos make clear that senior legal officials judged the harsher methods to be legal."
Later in the memo he states that under the current Administration these interrogation techniques would not allow these techniques to be used. I guess we just ask them nicely what information they have and would they please tell us.
I cant even imagine what our enemies are thinking about this. LOL i guess. Idiots.

Deliberations Begin on Antipiracy Bill
The Lower House began deliberating on an antipiracy bill Tuesday to create a permanent law that would let the Maritime Self-Defense Force protect ships of any nationality against pirates and remove certain limits on the MSDF's use of force.
